For our first entry into the “IYKYK” series, we want to highlight a new brand embracing old-school techniques to revolutionize the modern cannabis market, No Till Kings. Written by Lucas Indrikovs.

It’s 2022, and the cannabis market is growing exponentially every day. With so many new brands, products, and accessories hitting the market day by day, it’s hard to differentiate quality from hype.

March and Ash proudly offers only the finest cannabis products you can find in southern California. We’re tirelessly working with new brands to give them a chance to reach a broader audience. So who better to let you know when there’s a new brand worth watching?

“If you know, you know,” as some may say, and we’re here to share the wealth. For our first entry into the “IYKYK” series, we want to highlight a new brand embracing old-school techniques to revolutionize the modern cannabis market.

Named after their preferred growing method known for sustainability and organic “living” soil, No Till Kings officially launched in 2017 by two young entrepreneurs and childhood friends that shared an intense passion for cannabis. For years, No Till Kings have been honing their craft to cultivate the highest quality, cleanest grade cannabis on the market.

Once exposed to the wonders of regenerative farming (or no-till organic living soil), No Till Kings propelled their cultivars into the next stratosphere. No Till Kings are spreading the gospel of regenerative cannabis cultivation and honestly believe it is the way of the future.

Regenerative Farming/Living Soil

Regenerative farming , aka “living soil,” aka “no-till” cultivation, functions on the idea that we need to balance our present needs with the desire to preserve the land for future generations. No Till Kings has adopted this approach to growing their choice nugs because it mimics nature in a controlled setting.

Forest soil is chock full of microorganisms thanks to thousands of fallen leaves and other organic materials decomposing, which feeds nutrients back into the soil. No Till Kings recreates that process by using their plant’s leaves, stalks, roots, and worms to continuously feed their soil, making it more nutrient-rich over time.

Because of this, No Till Kings have never thrown away their soil after harvesting. Growing cannabis in organic living soil allows for maximum terpene profiles to be extracted from the plant and enjoyed by consumers. The harvested flowers can be smoother, tastier, and cleaner than industrially-grown cannabis.

Strains

No Till Kings’ regenerative farming practices aren’t just beneficial for the environment, but also honors some of the most legendary strains and elevates the plants’ terpenes to their highest potential.

Gelato 41

They’re growing strains like Gelato 41 (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies), an Indica-Dominant Hybrid originally introduced by Sherbinski and Cookies. Known for its woodland berry flavors, earthy citrus aromas, and its distinct euphoric head rush, No Till Kings’ Gelato 41 is bound to linger on the brain longer than the smell will linger in your living room.

Mimosa Variety

Another famed strain No Till Kings vows to preserve as a staple of the future, rather than a ghost of the past, is their fan-favorite Mimosa variety (Purple Punch x Clementine). After just one drag of this beautifully frosted cultivar, you’ll be transported to a tropical rainforest accented with fruity twangs and herbal bouquets. This strain will be your new brunch staple if you want to feel bubbly without the champagne fizzle.

SFV OG and Animal Mints

No Till Kings have also taken a cross of SFV OG and Animal Mints (Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies x Fire OG) to create an otherworldly pre-roll experience. Packaged in tubes made of reclaimed ocean plastics, this strain combination boasts the best lung expanding characteristics of its origin strains. First, you’ll notice gas on the nose, then red wine sangria on the tongue, and an encore of minty tobacco smoke in the air. A truly hard-hitting OG, this cultivar had me giggling like a hyena while watching my third Ryan Reynold’s movie wondering who ate all the pizza. It was me. I ate it all.

Jack the Ripper

No Till Kings’ latest classic strain drop, Jack the Ripper, is bound to slay your tastebuds with its lemon zest and hints of spicy pine. The Sativa-dominant, creative, cerebral high will creep up on you and provide a surprisingly upbeat experience despite the hardcore strain name. Currently testing at 23% THC, Jack the Ripper is truly a legendary cultivar brought back to life.

Through their passion for quality, regenerative living soil growing practices, and respect for celebrated cannabis cultivars, No Till Kings are keeping classic cannabis strains alive and relevant for connoisseurs of all ages.

Apparel

No Till Kings have also taken a play out of the Cookies and Sherbinski’s playbook by establishing an apparel line to expand their brand identity outside the realms of cannabis. From stylish hats and beanies to cozy t-shirts featuring their heady playful crowned worm logo, No Till Kings apparel is made to last.
